Team Marlene: Sound at the PurpleStride San Francisco 5K

On Sunday May 31st family, friends, and staff of Sound Speech & Hearing Clinic joined the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network for a morning of raising awareness and funds to advance research and support for pancreatic cancer.

The Sound crew participated in the PurpleStride San Francisco 5k in honor of Marlene. Team Marleen dressed head to toe in purple and wore "crazy socks" (the garment of choice for Marlene).

Participating in the 5k was a very special experience, and the work of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is very important because they set an initiative in February 2011 aimed at doubling pancreatic cancer survival by 2020 through advancing research, building federal support, and raising awareness through education.

Audioloical treatment includes hearing aids (Oticon, Phonak, Starkey), hearing technology, connectivity, assistive listening devices, FM systems, hearing protection, musician earplugs, early intervention, educational and workplace advocacy.
