A VERY special book launch to kick off a month of giving!

Today we’re celebrating something extra special at Sound! One of our wonderful patients, Avery B, is officially a published author!

Avery and her family have published Meatball Stands Up!, a story inspired by Avery’s real-life pup, Meatball, who learns through her adventures how to be brave, stand up for her friends, and proudly be herself.

We could not be more excited to see Avery’s story, and its wonderful message, being shared with the world. Watching the patients we work with find their voices is one of the very best parts of what we do, and seeing Avery use hers to become an author is pretty incredible.

And because we apparently can’t get enough books around here…

Throughout the month of October, Sound Speech & Hearing Clinic will be hosting a BOO(K) DRIVE! We’ll be collecting new and gently loved books to help get more stories into the hands of kids in our community. And what better way to start our collection than with a book from one of our very own authors? We already ordered our copy!

Congratulations, Avery! We are so excited for you and your family and incredibly honored to have been a small part of your journey. Keep using that amazing voice of yours, we can’t wait to see what you do next!
