Get to know SLP Sarah Bullentini

We’re so excited to introduce you to one of the newest members of the Sound team, Sarah! Sarah joined Sound as a Speech-Language Pathologist, bringing with her not only a passion for helping people communicate, but also a pretty special personal connection to the work she does. Having received speech services herself and as a hearing aid user, Sarah knows firsthand just how meaningful the right communication support can be. We asked Sarah a few questions so you can get to know the clinician, and Disney fan, new to our office!

Describe your role at Sound.

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow working with clients across the lifespan with a wide range of communication needs. I love getting to support each client’s individual communication journey!

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Kindhearted, patient, positive.

What’s your favorite part of the job?

Celebrating all of the little milestones! I love seeing the small moments of progress that build toward bigger communication goals and getting to celebrate those successes with clients and their families.

What led you to working at Sound?

I was drawn to Sound because of its collaborative environment. I love having the opportunity to work alongside other speech-language pathologists and audiologists, learn from one another, and provide well-rounded care for our clients.

What’s something about you that not many people know?

I grew up receiving speech services myself, and I also wear hearing aids. Those experiences are a big part of what led me to the field of speech-language pathology.

What is one of the things you would put on your “bucket” list?

Taking a trip to Ireland!

Where are we most likely to find you when not at work?

At Disneyland! When I have some time off, there’s a good chance I’m planning a Disney trip or already there. :)

Before working at Sound, what was the most unusual or crazy job you had?

I’ve had a couple of unique experiences! I worked at an outdoor preschool and also worked in a hearing aid research lab.

Anything else fun to share?

My go-to fun fact is that I like to joke that I’m named after a dinosaur! My mom got inspiration for my name from Cera, the triceratops from The Land Before Time. She liked the name “Cera,” which eventually turned into Sarah, so technically, I have a dinosaur to thank for my name!

We feel so lucky to have Sarah as part of the Sound team!  If you see her around the clinic, be sure to say hi, and maybe ask her about her dinosaur namesake.
