Describe your role at Sound.

As an audiologist, I help people of all ages better understand their hearing and find solutions that fit their everyday lives. From hearing evaluations to hearing aids and auditory processing assessments, I'm here to help make communication a little easier!

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Curious, adventurous, and sentimental.

What's your favorite part of the job?

Getting to meet people from all walks of life! I love hearing everyone's stories and finding little ways to make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

What led you to working at Sound?

The people! From my very first conversation with the team, I was drawn to the welcoming atmosphere, collaborative spirit, and shared passion for patient-centered care. It felt like a place where I could continue learning and growing while doing what I love.

What's something about you that not many people know?

I get nostalgic about places before I've even left them!

What is one of the things you would put on your “bucket” list?

To spend a month or two in South Korea or Japan taking dance classes, going to concerts, and immersing myself in the local culture!

Where are we most likely to find you when not at work?

Probably wandering around a farmers market or grocery store, hunting for good food and boba, or learning a new K-pop dance routine!

Before working at Sound, what was the most unusual or crazy job you had

During undergrad, I interned with the music branding team of a boba brand in China during my gap year! Our little team worked on everything from exploring collaborations with musicians, music brands, venues, and events to curating playlists for stores around the world. It was such a unique experience, and I learned so much and made some lifelong friends along the way!

Anything else fun to share?

I'm brand new to the Bay Area, so I'm always looking for recommendations for good food, hidden gems, and fun things to explore. Come say hi and share your favorites! :)

Welcome to the team Chenyu! We can’t wait to learn a dance move or two from you, and collect favorite spots around the Bay to send your way.
