Getting to Know You: Morganne Edition!

Get to know Morganne Frampton, our audiologist-extraordinaire, with a Q&A!

Describe your role at Sound.

I partner with my patients and their families to discuss their listening concerns, diagnose hearing loss and auditory processing disorders, and make a treatment plan that is unique to each individual. Since hearing loss can have an impact on more than just the ears, it is important to me to approach hearing and listening from a global communication perspective.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Caring, driven, and enthusiastic.

What’s your favorite part of the job?

Hearing loss is a journey, which means I will be working with people for years down the road. It is a privilege to be able to get to know patients, celebrate with them in the good times, and support them through the tough ones.

What led you to working at Sound?

Since I come from the perspective that hearing loss affects many areas of communication, I wanted to be on a collaborative team that shared that same thought. I love being able to learn from my SLP colleagues and bounce ideas off each other to support our patients. I also appreciated Sound for their openness; everyone is welcome and celebrated here!

What’s something about you that not many people know?

I love musicals. The whole theater experience – dressing up, the artistry and drama of the show and set, the fantastic voices of the cast – is just so fun.

What is one of the things you would put on your “bucket” list?

Seeing the Northern Lights is a dream.

Where are we most likely to find you when not at work?

The perfect Saturday to me is finding a local coffee shop to try a new brew and then browsing antique shops. I’d love your most unique coffee or antique shop recommendations :)

Before working at Sound what was the most unusual or crazy job you had?

The summer between college and graduate school, I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. While a lot of the job was prepping cars to be rented, I also got to drive clients around in all types cars, from Jaguars to convertible Mini Coopers to 15-passenger vans.

Anything else fun to share?

You’ll most often find me in a pair of Dr. Martens shoes at work; I’ve got a collection going!
