Describe your role at Sound.

My role at Sound involves evaluating and treating children and adults who present with difficulties in voice, speech, language, and/or communication. Additionally, my role as a clinician will include educating patients and their families so they have the information needed to make the best-informed decisions.

Describe yourself in 3 words

Diligent, enthusiastic, and optimistic.

What’s your favorite part of the job?

I absolutely love working with patients and learning about their interests so that I can incorporate them into therapy!

What led you to working at Sound?

The collaborative nature of the team at Sound really stands out to me. All of the clinicians are passionate about providing excellent patient care and working together to do so.

What’s something about you that not many people know?

I have (very) amateur DJing skills! I used to work for a music school that offered a DJ program, and one of the instructors taught me the basics so that I could DJ on behalf of the school at different family-friendly events. While I don’t partake in DJing these days, it was a lot of fun at the time!

What is one of the things you would put on your “bucket” list?

My hope is to one day travel to Holland to see one of their famous tulip fields.

Where are we most likely to find you when not at work?

Being relatively new to the West Coast, you can often find me driving to different spots to enjoy a view of the Pacific Ocean and maybe walking on the beach if the weather isn’t too chilly!

Before working at Sound what was the most unusual or crazy job you had?

There was a brief period of time where I worked at an arts and craft store. I usually found myself covered in glitter when I got home, especially at Christmas time!

Anything else fun to share?

I’m enjoying being in the very early stages of learning Spanish! Any recommendations of books or other resources are definitely welcome!
